Timeout error on Metafilter?

FPP returns time out error but posts end up on main page anyway.
It just happened again.

Its not a major problem, just a minor one. But what's up with it?

This has happened to me twice I believe. I never MeTaed it due to my attention defic...wow, a traction software google ad!

It's a timeout on sending a ping to blo.gs. I dropped the weblogs.com pings since those used to time out too, so I'll probably drop this one too.
