well, i made this one as a mockery of livingsanctuary's, since this sort of chatty non-filter related stuff has historically been discouraged here. others came along and did the same. stynxno's "anyone here not wearing pants" thread ought to have made it clear that we were chiding livingsanctuary. but then number one came home last night and deleted only the no pants thread, and left the rest, so, go figure? anyway, all the geo-callouts were meant to illustrate that "where are you all" and "what are you all wearing today" type stuff doesn't belong in metatalk. but who knows, perhaps number one's actions signal a sea change in metatalk rules!

yeah, well, in certain aspects these resemble terse meetup announcements, and as you see, there ARE a couple of threads that will probably lead to meetups. in this case i think life is outsmarting the smartass (me).
