MeFiSF: We'd talked a bit about January 14, and it sounded like some neoFites were on board, too. Is there is momentum? Or shall we just meet in Berkeley at the end of the month?

no way! I might actually be in town that weekend for the arcade fire show.

i might be able to meet like, for happy hour drinks -- i've got plans for later that evening.

I'm in for the fourteenth. Of course, I live in Berkeley, so I might end up there too (the 29th is harder, though).

I'll go along with whatever date, time and place is agreed upon, so long as caitlinb keeps sending me reminders.

Also, following Matt's CC party announcement, I would like to make one of my own:

For those of us in the design world, or the related font industry, The First Annual Typophile Film Festival is coming up on Thursday, January 13th, at 111 Minna. There will be free food and door prizes, as well as some exciting Type-in-Motion.

Let's meet on the 14th [anyway|also], then. I'm thinking 7 PM.

I propose the Toronado, which has a nice back room. It's at Haight & Fillmore (just a few blocks from the Duboce Park and Church stops off the N train). Please feel free to suggest other venues.

I'll send reminders to anyone who emails me with a request to do so.

From my purely selfish standpoint, the Toronado is walking distance from my apartment, in almost exactly the opposite direction of the Swedish American Hall.

The Swedish American Hall? Now I'm confused.
