Shit, I can't make it in March, but I'm moving to Lafayette in August. Maybe we'll do it again then. Good lord, I miss me some cajun food.

This place on Bowery & Great Jones does a great crawfish boil. And the bloody marys are good, too.

Amberglow, wanna meet up for some crawdads later on this week?!
*I'm* in NYC, even if those bumpkins are not (don't worry bumpkins, I'm a bumpkin too. I'm just a country mouse in a big ol' city right now.)

Hey, glad somebody's getting some crawfish somewhere. Do they put garlic cloves in the boil up in NYC? How about (I just heard about this) artichokes? And monju, what brings you to Lafayette?

atchafalaya: I'll be working for a federal judge in town for a year. It'll be nice to be back in Acadiana. Oh, and my favorite addition to the crawfish boil: big fat mushrooms.

Alright, I'm coming. But if I hear the "Deliverance" song being played on the banjo, I'm outta there.

Also, I miss Lafayette like crazy, having moved to Jacksonville in August. Wearing Mardi Gras beads to work doesn't really go over well here. I am planning on having my own crawfish boil sometime soon, if I can get some decent mudbugs around here.
Great idea Atchafalaya, too bad I won't be able to make it.

Our club president has Dueling Banjos as his ringtone. So you may hear it. And when you do...
Get on back up in them woods, boy.
