Sorry. The above two paragraphs are quoted from the thread's source. I replaced left brackets with // because I was lazy and didn't bother searching for the ascii character reference. Indeed, the img tag wasn't closed.

Damn, the trolls had better not find out this weakness in the MeFi code or they will troll and then kill threads.

Though I'd guess #1 would fix and ban anyone doing this on purpose.
