Seattle Meetup (Posted on behalf of warbaby):
Lebowski 7:24 in Seattle? I'm in Seattle next Sunday. I'll be really hungover. Wanna go bowling? Caucasian, anyone? My treat, I will have my portable bar with me. It just fits in a Lincoln Towncar. We can set up in the parking lot after bowling if we are fast and sneaky. Danius will probably come and the two of us will do a speed pour demonstration.
Sunset Bowl, 7:30pm 7/24, dudettes and dudes?

I think that Vidiot and Tizzie are going to the original Lebowskifest in Louisville, Kentucky. matildaben appears to be starting a homespun Lebowskifest several states away. Maybe just a meetup with a hint of Lebowski. It really brings the room together.

Yeah, last meetup was just bowling, I think the Lebowski content was just a gloss on the fact that we were bowling.

a nano-Lebowskifest. The line from My Man Godfrey applies: "All it takes for an asylum is a large room and the right kind of people." Bowling, White Russians, two-tone shoes in clashing colors and the occasional acid flashback. Alternately, Chairman MauMau said: "Let a hundred Lebowskifests bloom." Perhaps this conundrum will be resolved by the end of the week.

mwhybark: I'm out of town that weekend (shomer shabbos!), but i think it's again time for a proper Seattle meetup. Yes?

I'm not sure (yet) I'll be in Seattle that day, but if I am, I'll be there.

wb: yes, and well played!
fl: yes.
It's good knowing he's out there. I think the Seattle Seven Memorial Lebowski Fest should proceed if at all possible despite any absences.

I might see if I can drag stet out -- he might be more willing to go if it is Lebowski-related.
As I type this, I'm at the Madison Pub in Capitol Hill playing NTN Trivia, where my screen name is Smokey: I was the Official Scribe for stet's pool league team, and after one game to which I had not been paying attention, I asked "What's the score?" and someone said "Mark it zero, Smokey ..." then someone else said "IT'S A LEAGUE GAME!!" And henceforth I have been Smokey.

What was the Dude's real name? Was Jeffrey Lebowski an alias? Was he really Michael Justesen?
BLOND MAN
And we know which Lebowski you are,
Lebowski.
WOO
Yeah. Jackie Treehorn wants to talk
to the deadbeat Lebowski.
BLOND MAN
You're not dealing with morons here.

Just wondering...will those who have not seen The Big Lebowski be tolerated or abused?

No one will be abused. Nor is there anything particularly Lebowskiesque, other than the fact this is the weekend of Lebowskifest. And I will be serving White Russians in the parking lot with the soundtrack album playing.
We may have a surprise guest, or a pod of them. Hints were dropped elsewhere besides here.
Bowling requires Lebowski jokes. It's just one of those things.
