How To Check Youtube Region Blocking

I occasionally see comments about youtube being blocked by region. There are ways for posters/commentors to check preemptively, or for the site to do so with some dev work. [more inside]

Fanfare Errors / IMDB API Removed

You may have noticed over the past few days (approximately since the 25th) that adding new shows or movies to Fanfare has come up with nothing but errors. This should now be fixed, but other errors are possible. [more inside]

Alexa, play Mefi* music

While bemoaning the fact that there's not an Amazon playlist or station that scratches my itch for eclectic music, it dawned on me that Mefi Music hits that particular sweet spot for me. Which led me to wonder about the feasibility of integrating Alexa with Mefi music. It seems it's been done for iPhone using the RSS feed, so I'm assuming doing something for Alexa is not totally out of the question. Request for an API

For this easter (or whenever matt has the time), I would like a bright, shiny MeFi API.
I know it's been discussed previously, but I still think it is a cool idea. We're falling behind on the Web2.0 bandwagon, before you know it it'll be 3.0 and we'll look like suckers.
