Following a short but successful experiment, the result of which being that Mr Bondcliff of the USA is now the happy owner of a most unusual phone ringing tone, I have decided to speak words of the choosing of MeFites. Reading the answers to this question I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed that the nation of 60 odd-million people that I belong to has been reduced to a bit of a caricature here. Metafilter normally does very well at avoiding stereotypical depictions of different nationalities and/or minorities of many kinds, so I'm curious as to why this rather broad brush approach to the British has been allowed to stand without comment or intervention.
