Capitalization and punctuation
I just want to take a Saturday morning minute to thank everyone who goes to the trouble of using capitalization and punctuation correctly to make their writing pleasant to read. That's all. Thanks!
The name is Foo. Mister Foo.
MeFi offers a lot of ways to format "the same" user name, thanks to the fact that spaces and caps are fair game. Mister Foo could also be misterfoo or MisterFoo or mister foo or MISTER FOO or.... So I'm wondering: has a namespace collision ever occurred? Have we ever had, say, a Mister Foo and a misterfoo active on the site at the same time?
Why is the capitalization on my username inconsistent?

Ban Uncapitalized Posts?
Can we please have a ban on posts that are tiresomely self conscious about ignoring the conventions that apply to capitalization?
This is not pedantry. Capitalization provides the visual clues which enable rapid reading and comprehension. Its absence demands closer attention from the reader, which is excusable if you're e.e.cummings but painfully pretentious if you're not.

Username appearing variously with titlecase and lowercase
Why does my username appearing in the top left corner not match the name that is posted when I comment? My login username is lowercase while the one that appears in comments is titlecase. Live preview displays my name in lowercase as well. I think I used a capital S when I first signed up (which was stupid since I prefer the lowercase s).
What is the MetaFilter styleguide on capitalization of titles?
Looking at MetaFilter's front page, one finds an awesome variety of styles regarding capitalization of titles. Is there a preferred style? Which one better enhances readability? I'm not proposing uniformization - just asking what fellow members find most congenial.
