Follow-up post
Feature request: Allow a follow-up post on closed threads by the original FPP poster.
I often come across relevant and important information about subjects I made a FPP about months ago, but the thread is closed and it's not worth making a new FPP about it. It would be nice if the person who made the original FPP had the ability to make a single follow-up post after the FPP has closed.
The example I had in mind was this thread about Citizenre solar-power, and this new story Citizenre: A House of Cards, an important development that should be in the archived thread.
Thread closed indicator on My Comments, My Posts
Can we get a [thread closed] indicator on the mycomments and myposts pages, please? Thank you.
Can we continue posts about to be archived?
The post regarding Gannongate, started on February 14th, now has close to 600 comments. I appreciate how it has been kept current by faithful posters, but I'm afraid it's going to fall off the edge of Metafilter into the Archive. What's the proper thing to do with a thread that continues to attract posts two weeks after its initial appearance?
Threads I wish weren't closed
There's some threads on AxeMe that I find myself wishing weren't closed. I know you've been busy and haven't had much time or possibly inclination to work on AxeMe, Matt, and I think/hope that maybe these threads will return via a sidebar or such...
But in the meantime, I was wondering what #1 and the gang's opinion would be on occasionally reposting questions that might benefit from the occasional update. I'm thinking of the fave reads, fave listens, and desktop threads in particular.
