What to do about users monopolizing threads? [more inside]
I understand the point of the Enduring Freedom casualty count thread and admittedly admire its style. But I'm not sure trivia questions are appropriate as Metafilter posts, if only because it necessitates moderating one's own thread, which we are generally discouraged from doing here.
Would commenting five times in 24 minutes on your own post be approaching the 'chat threshold'? Just wondering.

Should one save up all retorts and include them in one or two comment posts? Or is it okay to respond to each person individually? I personally am getting tired of it...
