I think that I shall never see/A Link As Lovely as a Tree October 11, 2005 9:03 AM   Subscribe

Anyone remember the link to that dynamically drawn type tree (a recursive tree program that displays a graphic) or the link that was in its comments to the sketchy type tree? After 3 hours of searching I've given up. I really hope u find it in 3 seconds (feel free to brag). Not the one that is made from sounds. Thanks!

Was it this one?

No, but that is fun. This tree grows out dynamically like a unfurling flower in fast-motion, and I believe displays type, I can't remember much cause I was actually more taken with the non-type sketchy style tree linked from one of the commenters of the thread.

I think it was actually on MetaChat (at least, that's where I remember seeing it).

Umm, Has MeTa become AxMe?
It's a nice question and all, but I think you placed it in the wrong section.
(That being said, moderators please don't delete, because then we'd loose whatever discussion is already here and he'd just have to post anew in the green)

See the category this was posted in, mystyk? It's in "Metafilter-related". It's in the right place. It was in AskMe earlier and it was moved here. Or deleted there and then reposted here...whatever. But it's in the right place.

mystyk, this was already posted in the green, and presumably deleted there. This question is MetaFilter-related, and is therefore in the right place.

AxeMe is expressly not for questions about MeFi, which by default go here.

Not yet, wow who would've thought there would be so many.
Thanks for your ideas, all. The one I remember (the link within the comments of the post) was special because its code was so elegant (and recursive).

TreeFold?

(geoff. It seems like some kind of Futura with extra space between letters, Tufte uses Gill Sans)

You're not thinking of these, are you?

Not yet, but I am really thinking about making a good comp sim out of those trees, kwantsar! Thanks!
