Bad parodies make bad posts March 18, 2006 5:07 PM   Subscribe

This is unacceptable. It should serve as an example to all the community, that one should never attempt to parody another's FPP. Especially if the execution of such a parody is flawed by broken links. SHAME.

Aha. LoFi to the rescue. For those of us who have had no frigging idea what TwelveTwo's on about, he's calling himself out for doing a really shitty job of parodying the Spaces vs Tabs post.

Or, what vacapinta said.

I am relieved that, despite the broken post text, the intent was not to bash the tabs vs. spaces thread.

Because you would have to be a goddam fucker to bash that thread.

Let alone ksh it, needless to say.

I don't get it. Was it supposed to be funny or just a head scratcher that makes you think?

Should I start working on my next FPP or the callout of my next FPP?

The internets are too hard. Al Gore should go back and make an easier version.

Looks like another lark by someone who thinks it's fun to decrease the signal-to-noise ratio. Just what we need.

Should I start working on my next FPP or the callout of my next FPP?

The traditional technique is to open two browser windows and work on them simultaneously. That way you don't suffer the embarrassment of having your callout not match the post.

Oh, and don't forget to include a link to the post. (Of course, the really classy way to do it is to include a link to the callout in the post itself.)

I think if you just run around like your ass is on fire and fall to the ground writhing in lols that should be fine. Actually, you should have done this last night, now you just need to scratch yourself and wander off to the kitchen for some coffee.

If this is Web 1.x, I am too confused to ever have a chance with Web 2.0. Therefore, I am quitting teh internets now, while I can still maintain any shred of dignity whatsoever.

Goodbye all, it's been fun.
