Can we please take the obnoxious American Idol picture off the AskMe frontpage? March 26, 2006 5:10 PM Subscribe
Can we please take the obnoxious American Idol picture off the AskMe frontpage? Put it inside or something, posting pictures directly onto the frontpage sets a precedent that can only lead downhill.
Flagged, though I'm not sure it specifically breaks the guidelines. It sure goes against posting norms.

Flagging would have been sufficient. People have posted pics like this before, and Jessamyn is good about moving the pic inside the thread. It'll be fixed as soon as she or Matt sees it.

They're pretty useful on occasion in the "more inside" part of AskMe. Is it possible to filter them out of the front page, but still allow them there?

The shades of night were falling fast,
As through an Alpine village passed
A youth, who bore, 'mid snow and ice,
A banner with the strange device,
Excrucior!
good night, mrs calabash, wherever you are

I suspect there is a great deal about wittiness that is unknown to you.
(This is one of those irresistable insulting retorts that exist not for the sake of the insult, but for the sake of the retort itself. In other words, I don't mean it and nothing personal. I suspect one must make this sort of thing clear around these parts.)
