Vancouver Meetup

Vancouver Meetup? I'm a Canadian living outside the country, and will be visiting Vancouver from May3 to May 5, I'd love to meet fellow members. Anyone game? Any suggestions?

There was a meetup fairly recently. I didn't go, but a number of Van regulars did. I'd show up for this one, but I broke my leg last month ad have some mobility issues.

Smiley's (where we went last time, back in February) was ok. If there are only a few people, could try a reservation at Steamworks (next to Waterfront station) near the pool tables.

iirc Docgonzo is starting grad studies at UBC - don't know when he starts - but Koerner's pub kicks ass ($16 pitchers of Strongbow, and they have Storm on tap).

The New Amsterdam Cafe?

ori - it's Lenny70, sanitycheck, vernondalhart (?), and (starting May 1st) me who's on campus. There's another one or two who didn't make it to the last meet.

I'd actually rather pick somewhere other than Koerner's. I've spent enough time over the semester in there that it'd be nice to head somewhere else for a change.

Don't live in vancouver anymore, but I'd suggest the fringe (broadway and trutch?). Spent lots of time in Koerners, I disagree that it kicks ass.

Fringe cafe wouldn't be bad; an added bonus is that it's close to where I live. It's a bit small, but judging by the response here, we should be fine.
