Is it just the adtext-fueled upbeat mood or is the server particularly fast today?
SuperMeFi...by the way, is there a list of exactly the hardware MetaFilter is running on? I think that would be neat. I seem to remember your dad, parts, blah...but I couldn’t find it by searching. Memory too fuzzy.

Ack, forgot: Is it telling of how much time Miguel spends here that he noticed when RAM was added? How much time do you spend here, Miguel? (Just curious, no offense meant.)

Not long enough, gleemax. I switch between my new novel and MetaFilter whenever I need a break. As it's a different language(I'm Portuguese), a different atmosphere, with different characters, it's refreshing, to say the least. It also keeps me in touch with the real world. Well, as real a world as I can bear when I'm writing. Anything too real would probably block me as I can't listen to music, radio, much less living, talking people, while I'm doing fiction. So it just seems like I'm always here, gleemax. ;-)
(You'll have noticed, for instance, how I limit my comments to strictly technical RAM issues which I feel are of interest to all members...)

Paging Alanis Morisette: Here is some irony -
MiguelCardoso turns to MetaFilter when he needs a break from writing.

But, see, that's real irony, so Alanis probably wouldn't be interested.

I think Miguel should get New MeFi User of the Year Award.
