Making flags public June 25, 2006 8:56 PM   Subscribe

Feature idea: I'm not sure if it's meant to be private-ish or not.. if it is, you can scratch this idea. I was thinking it would be cool to be able to see "this post / comment has been flagged as:" with a list. The usernames of the flaggers could be anonymous, but it'd be nice to see what the hive mind flags things with.

No thanks. It's an administration tool and works great for that. Introducing it to public view would bring out a lot of things (gaming, people flagging everything as awful, people counting flags and trying to figure out how many it takes to make someone delete something, etc) with no upside in my mind.

I'd be interested in seeing that data on posts I made, more than posts that OTHER people made. I don't post very much, but the feedback would be good on the rare occasions I do.

Malor: That's more what I was talking about. I mean, it'd be cool to see the data on everyone's, but what if access to the data was restricted to just one's own posts?
