My Little Favorite Pony - for marking posts and comments as favorites, how about allowing you to put in a little note as to why it piqued your interest.

I thought it was because you loved me?

I'd like to be able favorite particularly good fave-explanations and provide an explanation as to why.

not really mocking so much as being playful, anyway

I'd prefer tagging of favourites, myself. Or the fixing of that bug which makes it impossible who's favourited something if they are lone favouriteers.

Oop - 'impossible to tell'.

why are we all whispering? is the baby sleeping?

It's not impossible to tell who a lone favouriteer is, you just have to manually mangle the url.
Just use...
http://ask.metafilter.com/favorited/XXXXXX
where XXXXXX is the number of the favorited comment in question.

This example uses the ask.me link, I can only assume it works for the other pages as well.

Yeah, I know. I'm just very, very lazy.

Actually, there's a bug I noticed earlier on today with favourites that could do with being fixed: when you click on a "X people have marked this as a favourite comment" link in a thread, the link to return to the post on the resulting page doesn't take you back to the post; it takes the last bit of the comment URL as the last piece of the thread URL (example; I clicked to see who marked this comment as a favourite and the Return to Post link pointed to http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/1375954, which probably won't exist for, ooh, 150-odd years.)

Metatalk doesn't seem afflicted by this but MeFi and Ask certainly are. I considered posting a thread on it, but frankly, I couldn't be arsed. And I know how to use the "go back" shortcut in Safari.
