Toronto MeFites - I'm going on a game show...wanna come watch?

On a whim I tried out to be on this show. I'm allowed to bring as many spectators as I want.

I don't have a lot of friends in town, and I could use some moral support. I thought it might be a cool opportunity to watch a tv taping for you guys. Also, I'm thinking we could go drink beer afterwards.

In the interest of full disclosure, the participants who bring the most guests can win extra prizes on top of whatever they win on the show (if anything).

Audience members are also entered in a drawing for prizes such as iPods and gift certificates, I just found out.

It's going to be on Thursday the 10th at 6:45. Email me for directions and details (you need to tell them my name at the door - I'd rather tell y'all through email) - it should last 1 and a half to 2 hours.

They seem to really go out of their way to show the audience a good time, so it should be fun!

I've never seen the show, but the commercials for it run incessantly before the Daily Show. I have to say the show looks kind of lame, but would probably be really fun to watch being taped.
I'd be interested, for sure.

Yeah, I went through the audition process a while ago and didn't really take it seriously at all. When they asked me "Why should you be on YBYA?" I wrote "Because it's my understanding game shows are the only way a fat chick can be on television."
