Congratulations Quartermass on you first academic teaching gig! Earlier this year he successfully defended The Thesis and has now been signed up to teach Sociology of Mass Communication.

Speaking as a recent PhD in my second year of teaching full time - welcome to the grind. If you make it through the first year, you can make it. The little punks will wear you down, you'll be up late at night working on lectures, and you'll be sleep-deprived as hell - but you can make it. Good luck!
