Preview/post timestamps don't match December 18, 2006 6:03 PM   Subscribe

I noticed a minor bug when posting a comment earlier. When previewing, all the timestamps are in PST. After posting the comment, everything went back to normal (CST for me). Not a big problem or anything, but a quick search didn't show it having been reported yet.

Yeah this is a known issue. I think mathowie said it's a super pain to get live preview to have the right timestamp, but it should maybe say that someplace.

I think Spike meant non-live (dead?) preview. The timestamp on one's own previewed comment isn't there, but timestamps on others' comments are in PST.

Actually, this was in the non-live preview, but I noticed it in the live too.

Two months, and I'm just now noticing this? That's kinda embarassing.

Dead preview! Yes, I propose it be called that from now on.

It's dead, yet it lives! The Undead preview!

"Zombie preview."

Now it makes sense to say that preview ate your HTML.

Its brains, anyway.

Live preview's not unreasonable. I'm mean, it's not going to eat your <i>'s.

So you are saying it's more the mummy or frankenstein of previews?

There's a ton of little bitty issues with the "dead preview" page that I wish Matt would fix. If I had my undead druthers, dead preview would operate and look exactly like a regular post page. Alas, I think it is considered a dead end, and not important enough to repair/improve.

I think we need to hear Astro Zombie's take on this, now.
