Make "titles" in MetaTalk RSS feed longer? (more)
posted by staggernation to Feature Requests at 12:00 PM (8 comments total)

The MetaTalk RSS feed uses the first 50 characters of each post as its title. In a reader that displays only titles until you click on an item, this means you have to click on most of them to get any idea what they're about ("Okay, I realize this may seem ridiculous and silly but..."; "Did anyone else get an email yesterday from..."). 100 characters would give more context and make this a more usable way to read MetaTalk.

Now, instead of 25% useful titles, you'll get 1% useful titles because people will think they're hidden easter egg titles.

Anything that results in better HTML titles (i.e. the thing at the top of the browser and the thing that shows up for google results) than "Comments on 13543" will be very warmly welcomed by me.

Anyone else read that as "Make titties in Meta Talk"?
