DC Meet-up: where were you, terrapin? May 25, 2007 6:36 AM Subscribe
DC Meta Meet-up
Sorry for the delay, here are the pictures (and the great pickles) from last Saturday's Washington DC picnic meet-up. I am never again lending out my camera when I still have photos to upload.
Kool-aid pickles are going to be the official pickle of summer 2007.

Oh. You should put this one first in the set. Less jarring.

Heh, jarring.

Hey man, I'm in PA right now, but I'll be back Monday. We should do something next week! :-)

My star has been overshadowed by a reddish pickle.

It looks like it was fun! Sorry I was a no-show. I got my weekends mixed up and I was at the beach.

Damnit! Those pickles look good!
Sorry guys, I had a funeral to go to all of a sudden. Wish I could have been eating those pickles in the sunshine instead.

Alvy A, wanna see more pickle pictures? You might want to sit down before looking at ColdChef's, though.

I really wish I liked pickles. Could kool-aid pickled eggs be made.

You people are meddling in affairs that were never meant to be meddled with.

Cool; thanks for posting them. I wish I could've been there, but my kids had a birthday party all afternoon that day.

I'll be all around in the dark - I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look - wherever there's a picnic, so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Wherever there's folks eating colored pickles, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys draw on the sidewalk when they have chalk. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's nothing but Koolaid pickles, and when the people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they build - I'll be there, too.
Except I live in Vermont so I couldn't make the meetup. Thanks for the thoughts and the coooooool chalk shoutout.
Apologies to John Steinbeck

This image haunts me. It's like it's glowing or something.
No shoutouts?

Indeed, I made the pickles, and MrsMoonPie was responsible for the sole shoutout.

I'm sorry I'd already committed to help someone with a muffler (and I mean I AM SORRY, no kiddin) so I couldn't make it. However the sight of those pickles, things that I think are an abomination before the lord in their normal form, BRR, I feel marginally less sorry.
