Revisiting main page causes delays

This is a speed question. I can go from MF's homepage to it's underlying pages without any delay. Click, and I'm there. However, going back to the homepage is always difficult, and takes at least two times longer. Is there some kind of 'no cache' thing working on it?

yeah, the processing on the main page is a bit nutty. When you're a member, it has to re-evalutate the new/old links state, which is an gnarly query. I've been looking into caching solutions and having a separate page that doesn't do such a deep query. So I'm working on it.
