Aside from my feeling that some MeFites might get a bit of a chuckle out of this, I also posted it as representing, perhaps, a certain MeFi historical first: self-bannination? And over something so, um, trivial and misguided? And in such record time? Also wondering, given the songs this bloke posted (about making up with mathowie and all), is this maybe the second time this curiously angry gentleman has been banned/self-banned? He's removed his website link from his userpage, but of course thanks to history I can still access it. I don't know if I should post it or not though...

Man I hate trying to pick out who was the asshole after the comments are deleted. At this point it looks like it was a completely unwarranted attack by St Urbain's Horseman, but I don't know what I missed.

BrotherCaine, one thing I can tell you is none of mine were deleted. I'm assuming all deleted comments were from the Horseman, although it's possible that someone else chimed in with something abusive enough to warrant deletion.

I hear ya, jouke. As it happens, I have a solo gig tonight, at a little joint over in Kami Itabashi, and that certainly qualifies as real life! I'm out the door in another 40 minutes or so.

Til then you can bet I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, though.

I just feel bad for the guy. There's obviously something odd going on. I wish he would get an account just to use for posting music and keep himself from the rest of the site so that he doesn't flame out all over it again. But somehow I gather he's like most of the rest of us and that self-control is not exactly one of his strengths.

This is part of sort of a longer story that doesn't really need to be dragged out here, you're right. flap, you sort of should have let it go in that thread and maybe not brought it here either.
