divabat really, really likes you.

And I think this might have happened before, lemme see if I can track down the thread.

maybe divabat is an amoeba. or an amoebat. or an amoebadiva. or something.

I haven't even got one divabat favorite :(

When I had a divabat infestation, I got rid of my extra booze, coke, and pills, and then checked all around the exterior of the dressing room for holes--divabats can squeeze into really small spaces. They use sonar, so it also helps if you refrain from rehearsing your stridently mediocre ballads and hackjob romantic comedy scripts at night for a while.

After removing the duplicates (if Metafilter uses MySQL?)
create table foo;
insert into foo select distinct * from favorite;
SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=0;
truncate table favorite;
insert into favorite select * from foo;
SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=1

A unique constraint on the favorite table will solve this:
alter table favorite add constraint ufavorite unique constraint (user_id, comment_id, subdomain);

Metafilter uses (I think) Microsoft SQL Server.

Then turning off foreign keys is a bit more difficult, bit we don't need to explicitly create table foo; the alter table remains the same.

I'll totally take your spare divabat, man.

But you'll need those foreign keys to get into your new home abroad!

THEY'RE IN MY HAIR!

Don't worry, Astro Zombie, they're only trying to make a nest.

I heard that when you cut a divabat in half, two new divabats form from the tail and head ends.

The only thing Chuck Norris is afraid of is a divabat.

That's what you get when you feed divabats after midnight.

Abiezer : But you'll need those foreign keys to get into your new home abroad!

But what if I'm more concerned with getting a broad into my new home? Will these keys help? Will they stop the spreading divabats?

TELL ME!
