Asheville, NC Meetup!

Asheville, North Carolina Meet-Up!

I've tried to get a "southern" meet-up going before, to no avail. So I'm trying again, this time well in advance!

Proposed Dates:

Friday 10/12
Saturday 10/13

or the following weekend,

Friday 10/19
Saturday 10/20


As for location, there are tons of great pubs in Asheville. I've a few in mind, but feel free to suggest your favorite!

Asheville is not to much of a drive for me, so I'd like to, but I don't think I'm free much at all that month. I'll have to get back to you.

Why don't you come to the big BlogAsheville meetup on 9/29? In fact, I was going to post this to the gray anyway - all mefites etc. are invited and flickr folk and, you know, pretty much whoever. The last time we tried an Asheville meetup without specifically importing people, there were only three of us. It was fun, but this party's going to be more fun. I'm heading to Asheville this weekend for Girl Talk, but I could conceivably come back in October (though BlogAsheville will be too soon for me).

Yeah, BlogAsheville is too soon for me too. Hopefully we can get some folks interested in mid-late October dates.

A friend and I are looking to make an October trip down that way to see the town and do some hiking. We're flexible, but the weekend of the 12th/13th looks good. I'll keep an eye on this thread as we solidify our plans.
