Halloween Meetup in New York?

I'm going to be in New York from October 30th to November 4th, and it'd be great to meet up with fellow Mefites. Of course, Halloween falls between these dates and having never been in NY or even the US during the spooky times, so perhaps it would be a good time to do something?

Hmmm, well there's already a meetup planned for the 26th, so it might be difficult to rouse the troups for another one less than a week after that. That said, if you want to do it, I would suggest you declare a place, a date, and a time.

It would be tricky for me to declare a place, not knowing NY whatsoever. A time - any time in the evening.

Failing a meetup, I'd be interesting to hear good places to go on Halloween night.

Well, NYC has quite a grand Halloween Parade, if you're into that sort of thing.

I'm seeing the B-52's at the Roseland Ballroom.

It would be great to see you, but Halloween is a high holiday in NYC, bigger than Christmas-- everyone has plans, the city will be a madhouse, but you'll have the time of your life whether you manage to find any of us or not.

Yeah, Halloween is huge in NYC. You can't go wrong with the parade and bar-hopping in the village, if it's your first time.

Normally I'd say right-on, brujita, but it's my bf's birthday and the tickets are a present, and the evening has "date" written all over it. Though I will certainly visit for a bit if I run into you!
