Buying an ad on Mefi December 12, 2007 3:40 PM Subscribe
Is mathowie still selling ad space on the front page of Mefi?
Ask a question, get snark in return. Awesome.

It makes for a good day on MeTa, which is kindof like the last bastion of snark.

You could just scroll past this thread and expend the energy on something that really deserves it.
Whatever, I'm out of here.

Your question wasn't really specific. Are you looking to buy an ad on the front page? If so, tell us what it's for. We'll decide if we like the idea.

The question caught my attention. I'd like to read some legitimate responses. I didn't think the responses were that snarky, but if it keeps snowballing (what are the chances), unfortunately, pxe2000, you and I will never know the answer...

We. Like, the People of Metafilter. We're good at saying what we think about ideas.
We usually think they're bad.

Heh.
I finally installed adblock on firefox to get rid of those horribly annoying 'vibrant' ads on MSNBC. I don't read MSNBC very often, but someone linked to an article I wanted to read and I just couldn't stand it. I honestly haven't even noticed the lack of ads on most sites. So anyway, I have no idea, but I would assume you could get one.
If pxe2000 is sufficiently clueless or tone-deaf to make this a MetaTalk post, I suspect that any ads he wishes to place on the Front Page will be something the assembled MetaMultitudes will NOT want to see while logged in. I don't know if it'll be Suicide Girls bad or Orange Juice Coupon bad, but it will most certainly be bad.
