Any Centrally Illini Interested In A Meetup?

Possible hot MeFi on MeFi Central Illinois-ish action?

As I am getting progressively more annoyed with seeing the only MeFi in range being my ex-wife, I was wonder if there might be any interested in a central Illinois soiree? I, for one, am located in Decatur?

If interested MeFiMail me, or nonMeFiMail me (address in profile), as I am not usually an attendee of the Grey.

Sigh...used to be an Central Illinoisian (Shampoo-Banana) years and years ago. My neck of the woods now (Middle of Nowhere, MO) is too far away for a casual meetup. But if my husband and I get over that way, maybe I'll email a holler.

It's for people like us that the "Nearby users" list should be expanded. There are only 2 other users listed near me, and you are not one of them. Yet, here I am in Central Illinois. :)

And, lleachie, should you and yours be in the area, I'll stand a round of your preferred poison at a venue of your choice. Weekends are best for me, BTW.

I would attend such a thing as long as I don't have to visit Decatur. Oooh, burn.

Um, yes, anyway. I think a couple of us thought about meeting up at Ebertfest last year, but it never panned out. So I'd be up for a beer here in Chambana at the Blind Pig or someplace. Also, I just realized I'm in a library class with another MeFite this semester, which is kind of cool. Hi k8lin!

I'm a few hours out of Decatur or Chicago so I'd be more inclined to attend the latter assuming a better turnout.

Meetup sounds fun; I'm in Champaign/Urbana (although I might start calling it Shampoo/Banana now, lleachie)...

I think we're in two classes together, MsMolly, which is (kind of cool)^2.

This thread has this former Bloomingtonion-Normalite missing the area. Man I want to party with the Something Bros. guys again - Chicago is too cold tonight.
