Red Box Basic D&D meetup: Sunday, May 4 in Montreal?

Geek Montreal is planning a GeekOut! on May 4, and among the various things to do, I plan to run a Red Box 1983-vintage Basic Dungeons & Dragons session for three or so hours in the mid-afternoon.

More details about the event (time, location, details) here.

I'm not a usual GeekOut! participant (I live in Sherbrooke, Quebec, which is a bit of a ways away) but I'm coming in special for the Red Box session and for some other stuff. I know there are a lot of old-school RPG fans here, and thought maybe some other MeFi folks would be interested.

No official sign-up sheet or anything, just show up and get involved!

This might be the only time in my life that I have ever wished I lived in francophonia canadia.

Each player should use the rules of a different edition. The last one standing becomes 4th Edition and we never speak of the others again.

HOLY CRAP. Seriously?

I'm in Ottawa and I'll come down for that. Up for that? Over for that. MeMail me with details, just in case I suffer some sort of brain hemorrhage and forget to check back on this thread.

Whoah. Ok, I was so excited that I missed your details link. Over to Montreal for just 3 hours? Of D&D? Well, will see what I can do. I kind of wish we had that for a 3-hour gig. But it could definitely be fun.
