I liked the little thingie that told how many users are on
MeFi at a time. What happened to it?

I liked that too in a childish way.Like seeing a plane and wondering where it was going and who was on it I would wonder who the other 200 or so were and where they were.

It was a useless doodad that was taking up resources so I took it down.
You could cache the result and refresh it only every 5-15 minutes or so...that would hardy be resource intensive at all. posted by jkottke at 11:40 PM on January 10, 2002
