is this username retired because of a reason?

(someone I know wanted it a moment ago and we couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work when it's not in use.)

Two weeks ago I signed up with a new username, expecting to be able to post an AskMe right away (I was going to use that account exclusively after that). Sadly, I forgot the rules from when I signed up the first time and needed to wait a week to post a question. So now it sits unused, but ready in case I want to abandon this one. Maybe something similar happened with methinks.

Hello? Is not the clue in the name? This user is THINKING. Dude's name is not Meposts, Mecomments, Me-asks-mefi, Me-rocks-out, or Mejobs-it-up. Dude is like, THINKING. Most of you people never had a goddamn thought in your lives that you didn't immediately type out on some website, but when a genuine THINKER turns up, it's all "WAAH WAAH WAAH THOUGHT IS AN ILLUSION ONLY ACTION IS MEANINGFUL!" Jesus fucking Christ. I'm just waiting for the thoughtful one, the supreme penseur, to take as much thinking time as he or she requires, and - when the near-infinite contemplation is completed - to commit to this site a post, comment or question that will distill all those profound and weighty ages of meditation into a single line or link of youtube of utterly tremendous force.

And whatever Methinks posts in that final, golden revelation of mindfulness, it'll probably get so many fucking favourites that mathowie will have to invent a whole new numeral to represent it - at least within the pussy little two-dimensional writing system bullshit you're all so fucking proud of, you fucking wieners.

It's like buying a 1970 Monte Carlo, upgrading with a 454 big block and dual exhaust then just covering it up and keeping it the garage for decades, biding your time till one day, BAM! Out it comes gloss black and badder than Satan the 454 thundering and everyone on the sidewalk cowering like a bunch of 5 yearolds hearing daddy's skill saw for the first time. Of course then you go to fill it up and it looks like driving 20 mile is gonna cost you $150 so all your time biding may have been a waste, but still a guy can dream can't he?

I think we have different definitions of "fun". Nowhere in your sentence do I see the words: alcohol, guns, strippers, kittens, det-cord, or Jarts, and I think we can all agree that these are some basic requirements by any definition.

It was the third of July and the weather was fine
Ed brought the hot dogs, the croquet set was mine
But the red ball was missing and three mallets were bent
Ed suggested lawn darts so to K-Mart we went

We looked by the yard games, we looked by the grills
But we couldn't find lawn darts come high water or hills

We talked to the sales clerk and she started to cry
She said "They're off the shelves now," and she told us both why:
A kid was pegged in the head with a lawn dart
Her dad didn't see 'er, that's the worst part;
A kid was pegged in the head with a lawn dart
So they're now off the shelves at the K-Mart

Well we both felt so bad that we gave up the search Ed went to bed, and I went to church
And now we never grill hot dogs, and we don't play yard games
Since we heard that sad story things just aren't the same
