"Shortly after 9:55 pm on October 8th, 6 comments went missing. Witnesses say they saw the 6 comments on the unanswered AskMe tab. But inside the question itself, the comments had vanished."

Officials said user alasdefuego was likely to be cleared of any wrongdoing in the case, but refused to rule out his involvement in the missing Dufresne party case.

Looks like we're not checking for deleted status on the comment count on that tab, yeah.

(The string of comments were spawned by confusion over the pre-edit nature of the question, in which that it was about a short film was totally unclear from the front page.)

...but refused to rule out his involvement in the missing Dufresne party case.

Now that the real problem is fixed, let's address this. I'm convinced that Andy really did kill his wife. What hard evidence did they have that he didn't? (I know, I know, innocent until proven guilty and all that, but that doesn't support my point.) All he had was the delinquent (who needed Andy's help to pass the GRE) testifying (about second-hand knowledge) on Andy's behalf. Shady, if you ask me.

Andy was just another high-intensity, money-hungry, economy- and wife-killing banker.

Possibly related: on the "my favorites" page, this thread shows 86 comments. But when you click into the thread, it says 83. (Some comments have been deleted.)

I guess there's a bunch of places that could be called "my favorites" ... I'm speaking of this page and also the "my favorites" tab on askme.

I was hoping for a CSI-style scene where the mods wander around with orange safety glasses and UV flashlights looking for the deleted comments amidst the threads of the carpet. 'cause that's two minutes of dialog no one needs to write.

All right ... (clears throat, thrusts rotten potato into sky at dawn) ... "And God as my witness, I'll never go hungry again!"

On the unanswered page, there's also a question with two answers, one of which was marked "best". (Scroll down to Oct 1.) Since the original poster supplied all the answers, this question kinda falls through the cracks.

I'd see an old lady there with no eyes

Young FARKers have been known to gather in darkened bathrooms and chant "bloody cortex! Bloody cortex!" in the mirror.

Looking 1/2 fixed, pb. Thanks. I think the "askme tab" is still wrong, unless it's a caching thing or something. The url is http://ask.metafilter.com/home/myfavorites.

grateful, a while back we decided to keep questions on the unanswered page if the only answers were by the original poster. There were several questions a day where the OP was simply adding more information about their question as a comment. This scenario where the OP answers their own question is fairly rare, so I think we'll live with that one in the cracks.

and hosted from Uranus, true, should be set now.

Since this seems to be the fix-it thread, posts with a repeated tag (example) appear in the tag listing multiple times (example). Also, if a users has more than 50 posts with a tag (example), the next page button goes the page for the tag rather than second page of tags for the user.

Go ahead, blame it on Bush.

The aggressive "China Plan"of modern day U.S. capitalism which has thrived under the last eight years of the Bush administration actually is responsible for the market flood of many shoddily made and/or unsafe consumer products, many of which are marketed for children.

Thanks for the opening, this has been bothering me for some time now.

louche mustachio: "33chung chung"

I love that. Do you have Boom-Boom as in Boom-Boom, dunt, dunt, dunt, dunt-dah? I don't care about the dunt, dunt, dunt, dunt-dah so much but my wife and I love the Boom-Boom. We don't even really watch any of the Boom-Booms any more, but it does come up in conversation and that's how we refer to the show. Remember that time on Boom-boom?
