Hi Berliners! I'm gathering with some friends at an as-yet-unnamed bar in Neukölln to celebrate the inauguration. No jumbotron, but live internet transmission and a Bush pinata!

Things get started around 16:00 Uhr at Schoenleinstrasse 6
(U-Bahn 8, Schoenleinstrasse Station).

I have to work in the afternoon, but there's a decent chance Mrs. YTMS and I would be up for joining in afterwards -- will you post updates to this thread if the venue changes later?

I'd love to see both members of the Your Time Machine Sucks household! If by chance there's a change of venue (if, for example, there's a problem with the transmission) I won't have email handy, but could you Mefi mail me your number and I can text you?

I'd be there but I'm battling whatever virus has been kicking the butt of (almost literally every single person I know in) Berlin.

(I hope Mrs. YTMS has avoided this as it seems to be propagating through the schools; all but two kids from our kids' kindergarten were out sick Monday...)
