Man, I turned on NPR for a few minutes this morning, and "Barack Obama" is already sounding like a nonsense word.

Awake and watching the news in California. Lots of taken-earlier shots of jumbotron setup and cold-looking people.
I will be at work too, but my work is letting us watch the inauguration (and we even get breakfast!). So thanks, work. I guess.

You guys on PST are lucky; it's over sooner. I thought about calling in and saying I'd come in at 1 pm when it's all over, but I have my review next week and they don't take kindly to last minute time-off requests. Bad planning on my part.

I can't believe places of business are not going to let people at least watch the speech and swearing in live. Can you plan your lunch break around it?

If you're stuck at work in Philly there's a jumbotron at Independence Hall and Comcast is showing it in Matrix-vision in their fancy new building.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that since (a) there's no precedent of doing event-specific open threads here and (b) PoliticalFilter has actually started a sort of tradition of open-thread livebloggery, it'd be a good idea to just encourage people to go check PF out and close this up.
