Export Pony at the vet? Found the neato "export comments" feature on the wiki, but it tells me "We're sorry — A Server Error Occurred." Is this just due to the ongoing outage-related fixes, or am I doing it wrong?

Sorry, I really don't have time to flame out, today. Apologies in advance. :-)™

Everyone ignore that shotgun blast you just heard. It's nothing to worry about.

It's probably one of the bazillion things that pb has to fix this week. Do you have time to flame out perhaps next week?

Could I have some mozarella sticks?

I don't really see how pb's code fixes and site downtime need to get in the way of a flameout. Let's just do it, and see if it works. If it isn't possible for whatever reason we can always try again next week. (self link)

Oh, sorry, that one wasn't me flaming out. This is the right one I think. (self link)

I'll try to pencil it in. Lord knows it's been long enough since a right proper one, and I really feel I should do my part vis. contributing to the community.

It was the FPP on the transient nature of websites & digital media that got me to thinking I might want to collect my scribblings from here. Years back, I made a monumental effort to float a small forum that hit an iceberg so suddenly that we all had to abandon ship without our luggage. Not that I'm too worried about that happening here in the short-term, but I'm actually journaling these days, and it might also help prevent some redundant typing there, as well as keep my inanity secure for future generations of sayers of "wha...?"

Well, I for one would find it catastrophic if I cut off my hand just in time for a 404 message. Who would hope me staunch the bleeding then?

I think I patched it up. You should be set to export.

I noticed the bug earlier this weekend, and tested it out just now when pb proclaimed it fixed. And yes, yes he is indeed incredible.

I'm awestruck. This puts the flameout back by at least a month. Thanks pb!

nah, it's no problem!

Oh, I wasn't even aware of this. Thanks Devil's Rancher for pointing it out and pb for bringing it back online!

We all had it wrong. It's not Obama who's the messiah. It's pb.

speaking of missing ponies, I can't get to the MeTa back-tagging doodad either.

xbonesgt, that one was farther down the list to get back online. It should be back up a bit later today.

In pbland "a bit later today" = 1 hour, 11 minutes.

pb: Master of "Promise low, deliver high."

Great job on all the repairs in the engine room, Scotty. It would be great to read pb's retrospective on this attack and the aftermath someday.

If pb continues to fix things at warp speed, and the mods disenfranchise the trouble makers, then it will be very difficult to ignite a satisfactory flame out. We have our memories, but that seems more fit for the geriatric set than a group less than 10 years old.
