Remember this thread about Amanda Palmer and the Lexington High School writing and producing the play "With The Needle That Sings in Her Heart" (based on Anne Frank's experiences in the Holocaust and utilizing some music from Neutral Milk Hotel's In The Aeroplane Over the Sea?)
The play will be Webcast live from Party on the Internet at 7:30 pm EST on saturday night.

Thank you, schyler523, for posting this. I know I wouldn't have gone back to that thread. It does not look like others have been paying much attention to it (although only the mods can know). Aside from a strange bit from papermonk, last note in there was on April 27th. It's not like the Palin thread, which kept on giving.

*looks around* When did I say anything about "right"? I'm talking about utility with regards informing people who might want to see a given video.

A = Viewers of this MetaTalk thread plus viewers of a thread which has had little activity since two days after original post.

B = Viewers of a thread which has had little activity since two days after original post.

Fairly sure that Option A always be greater than or equal to Option B.

I posted here because I thought the other thread was effectively dead. If I had only posted this to the technically alive thread, hardly anyone would have read it.

Just to pipe up, a lot of people read MeFi via Recent Comments. A lot do not. For anyone who reads MeFi via Recent Comments, they'll see updates to a thread no matter when they happen. I'm not sure what the numbers are but I do know there is some utility in updating seemingly dead threads.

I check up on threads through recent activity, but after a week of no activity I remove the thread. I'll keep your point in mind though for the next time, Jessamyn, but I know that if someone had only posted this to the original thread I would have never found out about it. So maybe doing both is best.

yesterday, i told a quick joke based upon a timeless saying about the popular will. it did not go over well. my intent created unintended consequences of slight annoyance when i was going for, at most, slight chuckles. i know everyone needs a hug, but i did not realize i was being offensive. may this be an opportunity for me to reflect on the lack of vocal tone on the greater internet.
