Beemermefites - come out, come out wherever you are!

[subset-of-a-subset-filter] MetaFilter's 10th Anniversary coincides with BMW Motorcycle Owners of America's International Rally in Johnson City, TN. Are there any other beemermefites who are game for a meetup-within-a-rally?

Hey, it's a slim chance, but worth a try! I'll be at the rally as a vendor, so I'll be happy to coordinate, but I don't want to throw the proverbial party and have nobody come.

Ah. I don't own a bike, but I have always liked the BMW Touring Sports and stuff.

I am also in Asheville, about 45 minutes from JC. However, there is a Columbia meetup that I have committed too, and so must pass.

I hope others can make it though...that sounds like a blast!

I'm going to New Orleans, but my non mefite brother will almost certainly be there. Say hey! He's a big bald guy with tats on a BMW motorcycle. Yeah, I can see how the IDing might be a problem

Nope. The rally registration fee is $30/member or $40/non-member, but if we can actually scare up some people for this, I'll try to find a venue off the rally site so people don't have to register just to go to the meetup.
