And it appears as though you already have a longboat.Then the longboat talk mostly goes away for a day or so, but is picked up again by gnfti when he lists some possible taglines for the thread, including "MetaTalk 9622: That's not MY longboat". The conversation drifts all over the place, with a few Viking/longboat mentions in the next few days, usually with the double-entendre meaning for longboat, rather than using longboat as a name for the type of thread. But by June 17, the term has come to refer to the whole thread. (I haven't read all the way to the end so I don't know if the term gets generalized to other long chatty threads here, or in yhbc's comment later, or somewhere else.)
