Hit post then... nothing February 13, 2002 8:24 AM   Subscribe

I wrote my post, hit preview, and nothing showed up. So, stupidly, I hit post, resulting in the world's most terse front-page post.

Actually, my browser (K-Meleon - based on Mozilla's rendering engine) shows it fine... except for the huge whitespace between the text and the url you put at the end. Apparently the url wants to be on one line by itself (as it is one "word"), but it doesn't have enough room unless it's below the bottom of the sidebar, so it goes down there, and there's nothing in between.

Works in Netscape 6.2 (Mozilla again), but breaks IE5.5.

(I'm a big Mozilla fan, so this makes my day.)

Has this been fixed or is it just that Mac IE shows it fine?

It looks like you forgot to add a quotation mark in a url, this is what I saw:

<a href=http://foo.com">foo</a> in your original post

Don't feel bad, luser, you can always get a gig writing headlines for the New York Post.

Do you know what's actually at foo.com? Nothing, that's what.

The Web Page for the URL you typed in not currently developed.*

(where in is really is. Why are the 'n' and 's' so close on the QWERTY keyboard?)

Are you refering to how the post currently appears? I like your prose. As would my composition professors in journalism school.
