Thanks Metafilter

On October 31, the lovely and talented LN married some bonehead she met on the internet. We had met at a very small meetup on (Canadian) Thanksgiving two years ago. On Halloween night, you all were in my mind as I made our thanks and gave our toast at the reception to absent friends and family.

So, for all of you shy guys (and gals) out there in mefiland, I have to recommend walking up to perfect strangers in a bar, telling them you're a bonehead and asking if they're "from Metafilter". It's a sure-fire winner, in my experience.

Thanks Metafilter, from two ridiculously happy people.
