Help me find an AskMe comment about a web app that only allows you to access certain web pages during a designated break time.

I think it was in response to a question relating to depression/lack of motivation/procrastination but I cannot find it anywhere! Thanks.

Sounds like the Firefox extension LeechBlock.

It wasn't Firefox, I'm a Chrome user, but thanks anyway.

I bet it would be pretty easy to add such functionality to this site -- click a button, select how long you want to get away, and then you're timed out for that long -- but I guess it wouldn't be good for ad revenue or something like that.

Ad revenue? Don't you need ads for that?

As someone who has made it to work on time for six business days in a row (take that, Internet!) due to the amazing powers of LeechBlock, I heartily give my endorsement to it and other such doohickies.

I think someone also asked about blocking certain sites at the router. I've been thinking of doing something like this. I have so many personal projects that are just languishing.

It might be easy to implement, but it's not something we're going to implement. Time management is a personal thing, not a mefi thing (or any any-other-specific-site thing, generally speaking), and client-side solution makes a lot more sense.
