Columbus, Ohio Meetup?!

Greetings fellow Columbus..ites. How about a meetup? The past few have been great fun.

I propose either Friday, June 11th, or the following Friday the 18th.

What say you?

I'm missing the upcoming Cinci meet-up, and I'm not sure I could make a Columbus meetup.

Dayton, represent, some of you must want beers at DubPub!

(That said - if I can swing June 11, I'll hit a Columbus meetup!)

Yes! I was just going to suggest a meetup (and that you host it ;)). I'm in, either day -- although my June 18th is free-er.

I'm moving to Columbus this fall - going back to grad school, so I won't make this one, but perhaps the next.

I'm actually in town from Cleveland the whole weekend of the 11th but it's crazy knitting industry tradeshow weekend, so my ability to make it depends on what time and where it happens, and how that relates to where I'll be for the other stuff! Yay!

p.s. don't do it at the Tip Top, every knit-business-person in town will be there. Trust me on this one.

Great! It looks like the 11th is going to accommodate the most people. I know of at least 2 mefi-friendly folks that are coming as well, so it appears we will have a decent turnout.

Next: location. Any ideas?

Excited to hear that there ARE Columbus meetups - I'm moving there for grad school in the fall. While I won't be in OH in June, I'll hopefully see some of you sometime in the near future!

It'll be warm so the city-wide No Sweaters policy isn't enforced as often but remember to leave your needles at home. I'll attend as long as you knitters promise not to get out of hand and trash the place.

If someone can give me a place to crash for the night i'll make this meetup. I missed the Cincy one because of my work schedule but I will make damn sure to request this day off.

So anybody have a couch they want to offer up? I promise I'll be tidy - maybe I'll get lucky and hook up with some hot young fellow but that is unlikely. Unless you have a couch and want a one night stand!

Sorry deacon_blues, I would put you up if my place wasn't under serious renovation. But it's looking like maybe the 11th isn't working for anyone but me and lohmannn. Maybe we should reschedule later in the summer?

I'm going home to Boston on the 11th for a week, but I'll definitely be in Columbus later during the summer and would love to stop by and do a meetup for the first time if you end up rescheduling it.

Reschedule it, or simply have another summer one -- things might be hectic for the rest of June with comfest and pride, but then again there might be more mefites in town for them. Maybe sometime in July?

Whoops, just saw this--but I couldn't have made it anyways. Weekend evenings in the summer can be tough. Maybe we can meet up at one of the Sunday afternoon shows in Goodale Park later this summer. I'm planning to bike over to most of 'em, so there'll be at least one mefite there (with a blanket & liquored-up lemonade).
