SFO -> AUS on short notice

I'm visiting a friend in Austin this weekend and would love to meet some MeFites while I'm there. What do you all say? The Ginger Man on Saturday, June 19 at 5 pm?

Hey! I'm visiting Austin this weekend too! If I can borrow a car from my awesome Grandma, I'll try to make it there. Though, given that it's a Grandma-visit kind of a trip, 5pm might be a little too early for me to make it.

Well, this Saturday is the 2nd Austin Saint Arnold Pub Crawl (facebook link), from 6-9. Might try to go to the meetup and then that.

My friend has reminded me that it's pretty hot in Austin, and that getting together at a pub after dinner might be a better idea. (I eat at weird hours and live in a 60 degree bubble inside SF, so I'm oblivious to these things.) Let me try again:

Hubby and I are now questionable. I hurt my foot last night (not seriously), and I'm not up for anything that's going to require me to stand this weekend. I'll be sad if I miss y'all but hopefully I'll be up for a meetup when middleclasstool is here.

Also: wow, that place is more spacious than I expected! Once I can enjoy alcoholic libations again, I've got to be sure to go back. Be sure to let us know how the service ended up being and all that.

My mysterious unnamed friend and I had a good time meeting adamrice at The Ginger Man! Again, I'm sorry about missing a couple of people early on -- I definitely intend to come back to Austin, so I hope turnout is better next time :)

In your defense, I only posted it a few days before arriving in town. Next time I'll be sure to start the discussion 4+ weeks out, at which point no one will be sure of whether they can attend!
