Beijing meet-up (back by popular* demand)

*in the sense that saysthis fancies the idea and bokane isn't opposed. The idea was in a week or so I think when deadlines have flown past, but that's what the thread is here to decide. As for venue, I naturally suggest we go for the bar round the corner from me again (Alba) so I can bring the dog, but if you have a better idea let's hear it.

I'm still trying to decide where¹ to go in October, so what are the chances of a Beijing meetup then?

¹ on my list are UK, the Netherlands, Bali, Bangkok or Jiuzhaigou.

Well, if smmt is away and saysthis isn't done 'til Saturday, next week or that coming weekend looks best (plus seems like the temperature might drop below 30 and make enjoying Alba's terrace non-suicidal).

There's certainly no shortage of good eating in the neighbourhood, though the place I'm suggesting is more a cafe than a restaurant. It's such a short hop from Tokyo, flapjax. You have no excuse! Wolof a little more with that extra bit of ocean.
So it seems we want it to be next weekend - and preference for Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

We were our usual small but perfectly formed gathering, and bokane kindly extended it later into the evening. zhwj also appeared, despite me failing to tell him the meet-up was on.
