Meet Up-ish Something at the North Fork Century?

Any chance any MeFites are doing the North Fork Century on August 29? If yes, we could connect for celebratory beers and self-congratulation at the finish line.

For that matter, if any of you New York-area cyclists are doing any of the fall season's long-distance rides, speak up!

well right now ~2/3 of IRL posts are not "meetup" posts, but are performances and exhibits. And that's cool, very cool and I think is a great addition. I know though that moving meetups over there decreases the chances I will see something that is in my general area and decide "yeah, I could drive down tot he Twin Cities and do that" from ~70% to something like ~10%. I just am not going to check IRL that often not actually being in a bigger market/population center, so for me IRL represents a small retrograde in site functionality, and I suspect (though don't know) the same could be said for many in the smaller markets.

It is, as I said, a small quibble and one I honestly don't expect anything to be done about, just something to accept and live with.
