I have done this (on the inspiration of the original comment) and it is amazing. Bonus points for spotting trick-or-treaters a little way off as you are going door to door, and setting up shop in front of them on the sidewalk. They loved it and we had a blast.

Ah great, I've made a double post. Well maybe someone can draw the face I'm making right now.

jessamyn, sorry I'm not the same person as docpops. I'm a MeFi reader, but rarely sign in to comment.

You should be him for Halloween. An "s" is pretty easy to make.

Or I could just tape an "s" onto my chest, like Supermans!

I love that story and that comic! I did see them when they were posted before, but it perked up my day to see them again.

I remember reading that comment when it was made, and crying howling with laughter at the idea. I never did manage to convince anyone around here to go as a door for Halloween, but I honestly send that comment to anyone who needs a crash course in what Halloween should be. That comment is a gem.
* note: Halloween isn't really celebrated here in Sweden but the building I live in does it now. Fun!

How does only one building celebrate Halloween? It sounds absolutely precious.

Ha! Police station. We could do that.
Our building has 90 apartments, so it's more like a block. The kids run across the common yard and start doorknocking at six, meet up in the middle to compare candy-scores. It's pretty cute.

This state of affairs displeases me greatly. I can only hope your efforts to bring Halloween to Sweden some day reach far and wide. I'll check in in about fifteen years to see how things are going. Deal?
