Green or blue post with comments about amazing Flickr search tools?
Within the past few months, I think, there was a great post about all sorts of interesting and useful ways of searching for CC licensed stuff on Flickr. I thought I favorited it, or bookmarked it, but alas. Can you help me, please?
(And is there a better way to search for something like "flickr," when the results seem to give posts that have links to flickr pages?)

Doh! Thanks, pb, I had totally forgotten I could search tags.

But that isn't working, perhaps because the original post wasn't actually about Flickr. Hmm.

Are you just looking for the Creative Commons search on Flickr?

Thanks, yaymukund, I know about that. I recall some searches that pulled together images from Flickr in really interesting ways. I have found flickrstorm, but I recall a few comments or maybe even one comment linking to lots of interesting ways to search flickr.

I do not know the post you speak of, but this google search will get you a bunch of ways to search flickr CC photos: http://www.google.com/search?q=searching%20flickr%20cc%20-flickr.com

The most visually fun way to do this type of search/sorting through images (and everything else) on the web (and desktop files) is on the infinite wall of images called "cooliris"... install the plugin, go to the flicker channel, and LET'S SCROLL!
There seems to be a desktop version now... intriguing! (imo)
Maybe you are thinking of this?
Multicolr... pick some colors, and see images using these colors.
Similar (Colr Pickr)

Could it have been Compfight or one of the others from this article?

Thanks, all. You have given me some great ideas. I'll keep looking for that thread, too, you know, the one I'm beginning to suspect doesn't actually exist? That one.

(Not because I don't actually think it exists, but I think I might just be very confused.)

Don't forget FlickRiver, where you just add "iver" to the flickr and you get a much nicer way to view a photo stream &c.
Brought to you by the fact that number one said it was cool the last time I brought it up.

Definitely try browsing through the flickr tag. Those will include posts that simply link to Flickr, but people are more likely to tag something with flickr if it's also about Flickr in some way.
