Attention Metafilter Kiva team and DonorsChoose.org advocates: Groupon is currently offering to "boost your donation" with a groupon purchase to either (or both!) of these sites.
Kiva: Pay $15 and get $25 worth of microloan credit (Expires May 30, 2011) [1]
Donorschoose.org: Pay $10 for $25, $20 for $50, or $40 for $100 to donate on the site (expires Jan 31, 2011) [2]
[1]Note: the $10 "boost" will not be repaid to you when the recipient repays their loan. It will be repaid to the Kiva general fund. So you can't re-loan it or withdraw it.
[2]I can't tell for sure whether you will be able to pick a particular project at DonorsChoose, or whether it goes to the general fund, but it makes more sense that you can pick a specific project.
You will have to sign up with groupon if you haven't already to get the deal. There are apparently a limited quantity available. I just wanted to alert those of you who may be planning to donate to such nonprofits now or in the near future. I see this type of groupon as a new twist on the "donation matching" idea many non-profits use during their campaigns, although I don't know what groupon gets out of this (whether a percentage of the cost, more traffic, etc.).

This is really awesome! I had a Donors Choose project picked out for Christmas anyway and now it will be so much better!
